ZOPA

Hi,
Here’s an update on Zopa.
She will be 8 months old in a few days and we will be graduating from puppy level 2 class this weekend. She is still doing very well and is an awesome addition to our family and my psychotherapy private practice. We are running into a few training issues the last couple of weeks but are told this is normal for her age and our circumstances. Because she has been such a wonderful puppy she was given a little too much freedom. So we are taking back control in small ways and she is responding well. I have another therapist in my office now and she goes to training with my wife and I since he is around her a lot too. So we are all on the same page with our directions to her.
She still goes to work with me five days a week and my clients love having here there. I get her to our local dog park 4 to 5 days a week where it’s all about play for her. She prefers playing fetch but she also likes chasing after other dogs and wrestling some. She is mostly submissive with other dogs but has no problem putting them in their place when she wants a break or doesn’t like what they are doing. Therefore she is really great for puppies and shy dogs getting started with socializing.
She has a booster seat for the car and loves looking out the window. She is very curious about everything. She is so cute when experiencing something new on our walks. She stops, takes a step back, sits down and studies the situation for a bit.
We just lost our 17-year-old ShiPoo this past weekend. Zopa was so good with her and for her. She couldn’t hear, was partially blind, and couldn’t walk well. She also tended to wonder around the hallway where Zopa likes to run. Zopa always slowed and went around her before picking up speed again. Zopa would often follow her around and would sometimes stop in the middle of playing fetch and check in with her. Zopa has been looking around for her but isn’t showing any signs of distress with her gone. I’m not sure if she is responding to our distress of losing her though. Anyway, just wanted to give you an update. I’ve had many people want to take Zopa home but I just hand them your website information.
